I used PPG paint on my Super MTA. It is the brighter of the 2 IH reds that they have. It is about $50 a quart, plus thinner and hardener. It is acrylic urethane - made for automotive uses. All said it cost about $100 in supplies to paint the Super MTA. It only took a quart of paint because you mix 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner and 1 part hardener - so it took a total of 2 quarts mixed. I use a HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) gravity feed gun, these have very little overspray and do a really nice job. On another note, I did some painting this fall with Country General paint that is about $7 a quart plus thinner and that turned out good too. Big thing is prep work, sand it down good and use a good primer, then sand again if it doesn't look smooth. I don't think the country general paint will hold up as good under the sun, we will find out! Steven
