Hey Guys, Made a post awhile back about an air filter cannister being badly dented on my Super A. Thought Id post how I fixed it that may help someone else. The outside was beaten with a ballpean hammer at one point or another by the previous owner why Ill never know. After taking the oil cup off I drilled the four spotwelds out to remove the wire mesh retainer ring. Then carefully removed all the mesh rings. I then found a 10" long piece of 4" steel tubing.I turned the first 8" of tube .050 under 4" to allow access into the cannister. I slowly tapped the tubing into the cannister and when i had gotten the tube past all the dented area I used a ballpean and began tapping the outside of the cannister which acctually stretches the metal and forming around the tube. I was worried initially that I wouldnt get the steel tube out of the cannister but by the time I got all the dents out the tube slid out easily. I know everyone does not have a lathe to turn tubing in but im sure a local shop wouldnt charge much for a single cut. I hope this helps someone with similiar problem. scotty
