My M parts manual shows an optional 7 MPH 4 gear for the M. Don't know if you can get it or not, but you could check at the IH dealer. I think you have to replace two gears, so you would have to take the transmission down quite a ways. The high speed gears part numbers are: 62399DA Fourth and Fifth speed sliding gear
62398 DA Third and Fourth speed driving gear
