Yes, the 706 has an hydraulic TA. But the truth is, if the TA doesn't drive in low (TA) the sprag is out and the TA is junk. (Assuming the main clutch is driving the TA) You can fiddle with dump valves, lube pressures, MCV pumps, valves and gaskets till you are blue in the face, and the TA is still bad if it doesn't drive in TA. Replacing the TA requires a double split, and forces you to consider replacing other parts you haven't thought of, such as the clutch, pressure plate, rear main seal, IPTO shaft, release & pilot bearings, and yes, maybe the flywheel on a tractor that old.
