I would stick with the battery ignition. I believe you can still get parts for the H ignition--I think it is the same distributor as a 404 etc. The mag for this tractor was a good unit, but any mag, even if it's a new Honda motorcycle, just seem to go out over time(loss of magnetism I think. There was a procedure to re-magnatize them, but most everyone just went with the batt).
