Restoration of Farmall A - Instrument Cluster (?)

I'm restoring my Dad's 1940 Farmall A. There is an oblong metal box attached to the steering wheel support column. The box has no face cover, but I assume there might have been a kill switch and maybe a gauge for something mounted there.
My Farmall A manual and parts catalog shows no picture or reference to this "instrument box". Does anyone have a pic of the intact, complete box or a parts catalog page showing it? Or who knows what it used to contain? Note: This A has hand crank start. No battery. Thanks! Andy
