My Dad bought one new in 69. That tractor had tremendous power. I had a new 1566 in 1976 and that 1256 would walk away from it, even though it was rated 40 hp more! In my opinion the 1256 was a great tractor. Wish he still had it. He has a 1086 but hp wise doesn't comapre.
