My F-12 has a NOS IH pipe on it and I know what you mean about a muffler. It would be nice! Until I get one and if I am going to use the tractor a lot I get out the ear plugs. Another thing that would be nice would be a turn out spout so the exhaust doesn't get in your face when going down the road in 3rd.It is the only thing I don't like about that tractor. I never understood why IH had an exhaust like that on 12s and 14s. I do know that a large muffler sitting on an old and thinner than new manifold may cause the manifold to crack or just put a lot of undue stress on it.
