A while back, I put on a post about splitting my Hebard Shop Mule to fix the clutch. Things would not stop turning forever when the clutch was disengaged. I found that someone had put in a non IH bronze pilot bushing that was not tight in the end of the crank shaft. There was also some residual of the rats nest in there that I had not been able to get out through the hand hole in the bottom. Anyway, had the clutch refaced, new throw out bearing and new IH pilot bushing. (even though the clutch facing and pilot bearing looked good) It already had been converted to the ball bearing throwout bearing. Everything works much better, but it still requires a few seconds of waiting for the transmission to quit turning if the tractor has been running with the transmission in neutral. But, at least if will stop now if you wait that few seconds. Just wanted to give a report on the outcome.
