The sliding sleeve that engages the transmission output gear is different. On the A,s, the sleeve has slots that engage the transmission gear. On the newer models like the 100, the sliding sleeve has "teeth" on the outside end that fit into the output gear. If you have the sliding sleeve off the 140 and use it on the other part from the A, it should work. At least, it worked that way for me.
