A good welding shop can probably weld up the cracks for you. But that will cost about the same as a replacement block and gaskets. I have welded cast iron with the old Lincoln stick welder (AC only) and some $5 a piece nickel rods. Keep the casting warm as long as possible and cool slowly. They recommend heating the casting with a torch before you start welding also - I believe this keeps it from cracking more while you weld. Good luck and great deal!
