Model B serial number ?

I found a model B here in Michigan I am checking into. The chasis s/n is FAB 218641, 1947 from what I can see and the block s/n is M219556G, below that is FAB. I am guessing that these 2 are original mates at the factory. The question I have is what does the "G" identifier stand for at the end of the motor s/n? Perhaps gasoline?
