Farmall Christmas

This is not related to tractor problems, but I had to post this. I have been dating my girlfriend, LuAnne, now for two years next month. Her son, Matthew, 14, has never known his father. This fall I purchased a Super A, and of course Matthew was beside himself when I rolled the tractor out of the shed, stepped down and told him to climb aboard. This young man was estatic! "Farmalls rule!" is all he has said since that day. Anyhow, to the main story. With the hectic ways of Christmas, we have started a tradition of exchanging gifts on the day before Christmas Eve. Along with several nice tools to add to my collection, to my surprise, she had found a wooden shelf used for displaying items with a tractor murial painted below the main shelf. The tractors you ask? Two modern Case/IH tractors on either side of a Farmall M! Beautiful! Matthew quickly handed me a present and said, "This is for you to put on the shelf once you hang it." I opened a nicely detailed Farmall Super C. Life is full of simple pleasures, and the good Lord blesses each of us everyday with the gift of life. Mine has been blessed with the addition of two more lives, and they make each day special for me. Please take time to enjoy the simple pleasures. Afterall, they are the best! Merry Christmas to all!

Today's Featured Article - An Old-Time Tractor Demonstration - by Kim Pratt. Sam was born in rural Kansas in 1926. His dad was a hard-working farmer and the children worked hard everyday to help ends meet. In the rural area he grew up in, the highlight of the week was Saturday when many people took a break from their work to go to town. It was on one such Saturday in the early 1940's when Sam was 16 years old that he ended up in Dennison, Kansas to watch a demonstration of a new tractor being put on by a local dealer. It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership, ... [Read Article]
