I know what you are saying. Every tractor I have bought I have to spend hours and hours geting it right (like I think it should be). The money spent is another issue. I think my labor usually comes up the higher cost. I think you stand a better chance winning the lotto than finding a tractor in that "field ready" shape. Even when you get it there, sometimes you feel like a dog chasing it's tail trying to keep it maintained and keeping the things that break fixed. I can say that when I fix something on any of my tractors, when I know it is right again, I appreciate it with all my heart again. I guess it is human nature to start taking things you own for granted sooner or later. Then when it is broke and you spend time fixing it, when you work it or just hear it run again, IT IS WORTH IT.
