According to Guy Fay's Data Book, the numbers of each produced were: A -117,552 AV - 3,603 B - 75,241 BN - 14,967 He doesn't give a number for the IA. I don't know if they are included with the A numbers or not. As you can see, the B and BN numbers together fall a little short of the A numbers. But Bs outnumber the BNs by about 5 to 1. BNs were originally more common in your part of the country. The B was more common farther out in the midwest and down in the cotton country.
