MTA Torque Oil

Hi! I posted a torque question on Dec 27th, thanks for all your replies. Now I found out the guy who owned this tractor (Super MTA) before me must have put gear oil in the rearend. I know now that it should have Hy trans in it. Would have this caused the torque to go bad after 2 weeks of using it? Can I just drain the rearend and replace with Hy trans and be fixed or did it cause damage? From the looks of the oil this torque must bee worked on quite a few years ago, the tractor wasn't used much lately. The oil is black and thick. Thanks for your replies. Don
