Check the Classified Adds "For Sale" on the web site ihcubcadet.com. You'll see what Cub's that vintage sell for. It's odd that the old gear drives have ALWAYS sold for about $300 +/- $50 depending on condition. Hydro's bring more. It would probably be best to see if You can get the engines running. See what kind of shape they're really in.
