I believe the yoke of the universal is welded to the steering shaft. The other yoke of the front universal is keyed to the worm gear shaft that comes out of the steering box and is held on by a spring roll pin that you can drive out with a small punch. Likewise, the other universal that attaches to the steering wheel shaft is also keyed and pinned to the steering wheel shaft. You can also drive out that roll pin and it will be loose. You can then take off the bearing that holds the shaft just in front of the rear universal joint and then you can take out the lower shaft with the universals on both ends. I can't tell for sure from the parts book, but it looks like the universals can be taken apart and rebuilt with new bearings. I suspect the bearings are held in with snap rings. You can't replace the whole joint, because the yokes are welded to the shaft. If you want, I can scan and send you the parts diagram. If you want that, send me and E-mail.
