throttle question on an M

I recently aquired a 49 M and the throttle control has teeth on it(original).Well,I seen where new throttle controls can be bought that have a friction disc in them for about thirty dollars.I found one on an old junk M and I bought it.What my question was,are all throttles with a friction disc in them M$W brand or did Farmall make them too on this same concept?I know it is not a very important question but I am new to Farmalls and was curious about it.Thanks,Jack(TN).
