The leak is easy to fix. Get a new gasket from a Case/IH dealer. Then remove the cover and clean the surfaces good with a flat scrapper blade to remove all the old gasket material. Get a tube of Permatex red silicone gasket sealer at an auto parts store. Lay a small bead of silicone on the metal surface of the head and seat the gasket. Then put another small coating of silicone on top of the gasket and put the cover back. Let sit for a few hours to let the silicone harden. Use just enough silicone to make the gasket stick. You don't want silcone to extrude out into the valve area or out the sides. And...while you have the cover off, it's a good time to check your valve rocker arm clearances and the push rods to make sure all is OK there.
