According to Guy Fay around 15,000 were made. I don't remember the figures for A's & B's. Rare? - no, common? depends on what part of the country you are in. In vegetable growing country they were pretty common since they are great for cultivating. A lot of them are still earning a living because they are a handy tractor to have. Collectible? - that depends on the eye of the beholder. I think most everything IH made is collectible to some degree. A nice advantage that a BN has over a B is that it will go on a lot more trailers than a B will since it is 8" narrower. Makes it handy for going to shows.
