I agree that it seems like a carb problem; however, it may be a combination of things. Start with the easy things first. Check the timing, firing order and wires (it's easy to get 2 and 3 switched and you'll get a similar problem), Short accross a plug end and the head with a screwdriver, If no change in performance it could be a bad cylinder/valves. Then go the carb. Take the L-shape cover off of the governor linkage. Watch to see how freely the linkage moves, as sometimes condensation rusts up the parts. Check the drain tube and make sure it's free and clear. Then check out the carb. Good Luck! Ron
