Continuation hook, because the original thread has rolled off.

As I tried to explain to you 2 posts back, the slide plate that keeps the control rod from latching is for the 2 way plow. If you remove it, the control rod will latch in place and continue to hold the implement up. If the control rod with the automatic pressure release was only used with the 2 way plow, they could have just left the lug off. It would make no sense to put the lug on the rod and then add the slide plate to keep it from ever latching.
