On your MDTA. When trying to start it, do you have it in Gasoline mode?? For starting, it has to be in gas mode with gas in the tank and all the ignition parts in place and working. Do you know if you are getting a spark?? It is possible to start the gas start diesels in diesel mode, but you have to use ether. YOu will never start it pulling or with the starter if it is in diesel mode unless you use ether. If you don't have a manual for the diesel, I suggest you get one so you understand how the gas start diesels work.
