M&W gear company made tractor upgrade parts for most tractors from the 50's to the late 80's.. The M&W pistons could give greater HP if the correct altitude piston was used in lower compression heads. The M&W and IH Firecraters develop the same HP in the high compression gas. One of the benefits of M&W P&S Sets, was the Jet Black Sleeve. These sleeves were oil impregnated, and were designed to reduce wear during engine startup.
