Well, after three yrs or so of putting it off, weve finally began tearing down the engine on my brothers I-4.This one is somewhat oddball because of its Y-17 suffix.(kerosene burner)Brother said he and Guy Fay had talked about it sometime back and technically should be a high compression engine, but what the heck, that dont matter!Anyways.I have a couple of questions;first when we pulled the valve cover there was a lot of moisture and rusted gunk in there, what causes that?Second question is HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET THE CLUTCH OUT!We fought with it for about an hour and gave up for the evening.Planning on pulling the block off next weekend to get it out but was curious as how to get it out the right way.Splitting it maybe?'Preciate it!
