Prune picker, I agree with Charlie, Champion D21 plugs work best in an H. I have two 1944 H's myself and a 1939M. I have the H owners manual but the Blue Ribbon Service Manual for H, H-V,W-4,O-4, OS-4,I-4,U-4 and IU-4 is very very helpful, lots of diagrams and explanations about repairing major parts. Check out the tractor for detergent and non-detergent oil use. If non detergent was used there will be lots of thick pudding like sludge in the oilpan , tappet cover etc. It's not hard to pull the pan and give it a good cleaning along with the tappet cover, most of the sludge will be there and the top of the head. Detergent oil will lift this "sleeping sludge" so oil changes should happen often if you go to detergent oil and even change the filter more frequently, keep an eye on the oil pressure. As for oil prices Walmart has had 5 gallon trans oil on for $27 Canadian as opposed to the $57 the dealers want for oil in a pail that says Case _I-H on it. As long as it is SAE it should be fine. Dump a deicer in the gas tank to remove the moisture even if you aren't in a cold climate, this keeps the water out of the sediment bowl and the carb. I'll be happy to help you if I can, just click on my name in the posting and my e-mail address will appear, good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

No. I am just happy to have their friendship. At least the word "farmer" is in my title. But what is the attraction? How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
