J C Whitney and a few others sell a dropping resistor block for 12 to 6 or -----24 to 12 volt. This lets you start on 12 volt, but all accessories (coil and lights) run on 6 volt. The advertise it for semi trucks with 24 volt system to use 12 volt lights and radios??

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor.
