Yes, You can have them grind a LITTLE, maybe .010"/.020" inches off each friction surface to clean them up but You should also have them grind the total amount removed from the friction surfaces off the mating surface of the cast iron brake housing to compensate. Example .010" off all 4 surfaces, take .040" off the mounting face. If You don't get all the pits out the friction surfaces it doesn't make a big difference in braking capacity.
