That was an still is a good tractor . If it has the old RD injection pump on it the pump could have low cranking pressure and that would make it hard to start , and vary few pump shops can work on the because the parts are hard to come buy and vary few have the knolage to go with it. As far as the rear main seal it's not to bad to fix and while you are in the bellhousing then you can fix the pto input seals and pay close attenshion to the PTO input shaft for ware on the spline and replace the shaft and clutch assy. at the same time also replace the PTO input bearing then even if YOU think it is ok change it or you can get the pratice of doing it again , all it takes is a littel wobbel on that bearing to wipe the seals out in short order. And a good 806 DOES NOT NEED EITHER TO START good way to knock out the rings.
