Here's a little information on the 8-16. The 8-16 was manufactured from 1917 to 1922. It was a unique design because the raditor was located directly in front of the operator behind the engine rather thatn in front of it. It also had roller chains that drove the wheels. The 8-16 had numerous weaknesses but it was IH's first attempt to build a universal tractor (like the Farmall) that could perform field work and provide belt power.
