The primary external differences in the Farmall and International As, apart from the emblem on the front, were a heavy duty square axle and a foot operated throttle (instead of the hand lever) on the International. It was made and marketed for industrial use. The gearing appears to be the same for both. Guy Fay's data book lists the I as almost a 900# heavier than the Farmall. I can't imagine that was all due to the front axle. Maybe some of the other guys know some other differences that would account for the extra weight.
