I seriously doubt that you have a sticking valve stem. Most engines will NOT run for 20 minutes ok and then a valve starts to stick. I would look at the ignition system. I think it is most likely the coil or capacitor. The highest probability is the secondary winding of the coil is failing. Put an ohm meter across it when it's hot. You may find that it has opened up.
