The Cub is a little different than an A in that you can work on loosening the valves through the spark plug hole...I know because I was able to get a Cub going after loosening 3 very stuck valves. They are still free....they just needed some run time.

My Super H is a different story...it had some rust on #1 spark plug. Every now and then you will hear a "pop" through the exhaust. That is a sign of a sticking valve. If you hear that "pop", try taking a putty knife or something similar and holding it over the exhaust when it is running..when you hear that pop, the knife will be sucked back down. You can see the rain cap doing that too.
