How Narrow Can I Get F30 Wheel Spacing?

I have a F30N with F&H round spoke wheels on the rear. The spacing is 6'6" from center-to-center of the tires. My trailer is 6'4" wide. I also have spare steel wheel cut-offs with bad 28" rims. I want to weld on 36" rims on the cut-offs, off-set them inward to reduce the width, buy tires, and put them on the F30N. Does anyone have this setup and if I do it will it allow my F30N to fit the trailer?
