steve@nd, i once had a bearing come apart in the tranny. it locked the tranny to where itwouldnt move. so took it apart ,drained the grease and found two ball bearings between the bull gear and rear housing in the bottom of the case. there isnt very much clearance on the bottom. probably enough for a small ball to jam everything. make sure you have everything cleaned real good before you put it back together.. you will have to remove, i think, the top platform to inspect it thoroughly. good luck
