Farmall WD-9

One more question. I got some fine answers on my question about WD-9's. Can anyone tell me how to "cool-down" the tractor so that the heads are sure NOT to crack? I had a diesel Ford pickup and the dealer advised me to let it idle a few moments when I got done hauling it. Will this work to cool the WD-9? I got the hots for this tractor, but I don't want one if it's going to be impossible to play with it. I won't be working it, just playing with it. Thanks once again for your help. This board if great, in my never-to-be-humble opinion.
