What makes this hobby worthwhile?

Now, before you jump on me I would like you to read my reasons:

Community and Friends: Have you met more than a couple old tractor and engine guys that are rude? I haven't ever met a tractor guy with a bad personality. And HONESTY! I sold a tractor to a guy a few months ago, agreeing that he could pick it up at a later date. He sent some money down for me to hold on to the tractor. The other day a semi showed up and hauled the tractor away, and I had not been paid! I called the guy up, told him the situation and he said he would send the rest of the money right away and deal with the trucking company later. Wasn't that nice of him? YES!

The simple Enjoyment: I enjoy working on old tractors and learning how their systems worked. Sure, I break a few things because I don't know how to get them apart, but that's all part of education (and mind you that is CHEAPER than college education that I am in right now!). It is relaxing because there are no set dates that something has to be done, just putter around with it whenever there is time.

The money: Not making money, but spending it. Is there really a cheaper hobby?? I have a 42 Farmall H that I am going to be going through from one end to the other, in the end it will be a BRAND NEW tractor. How much will I have invested? Around $2000 without tires. Some idiots smoke $2000 worth of pot in one evening, I sure think the effects of my restoration will be longer lasting than their pot, right?

Thanks for reading my post, I just needed to reassure myself that this H is worth all the time and the relatively small amount of money I will have invested. ENJOY YOUR HOBBY!
