If I had the money, I'd jump on it. The 450's did have a nasty habit of cracking heads! I'd have to see it running to make sure that it did run and drive. There's really alot of problems that you could have so and can't tell if the engine not running, buy it accordingly. Look for water in the engine oil. or oil in the radiator. those might tell you if the head is cracked. I'm not an expert on the 450's by anymeans but this is what I've heard. I'd offer him considerably less with out it running, or more if he puts some propane in it so you can see it run and test it out.
