I have a 35 F-12 also and have yet to find any grey on it. It was repainted also but havent't found anything grey yet in those nooks and crannys. I had heard that some farmers who had bought some of the last grey tractors( and some dealers may have done this also), painted over the grey so people would think they had the latest up to date machinery. Since there was not much difference in the 35-36 models not many people would figure it out and the farmer would have a "new" red tractor for the price of paint and decals. If a dealer had a grey tractor left sitting on his lot, and the red ones came out, he may have to paint the grey one red just to sell it since no one would pay the same money for "one of the old grey mares" as they would for the red painted one, even though they would both be new. People are funny that way.Go to a show and if there is a nice grey 12 or F-20 sitting next to a nice red F-12 or F-20 , they will swarm all over the red one like bees in a cider mill and trip over the grey one to look at the red one.
