Wendel - 15.25 volts is a bit high. However if you made the reading with the ambient temperature in the teens or below, 15.25 volts is probably OK. (Alternator voltage INCREASES at lower temperatures...)

A couple other things to check:

1 - Are you certain the alternator #2 (voltage sensing) terminal connection is properly made? If #2 is not connected, output voltage will run high.

2 - What does the ammeter indicate after the motor has run a while? If the reading tapers down to 3 or 4 amps with the battery voltage at 15.25, there is no problem.
