Troy, Others will point out that the first Cub was built in 1947, so I won't. :-) If the shifter is in otherwise good condition, it will be easier to repair it than to find another. I have repaired several, by cutting it off below the hole where they usually break, and OA welding another 1/2" rod in its place. Then drill a new hole for the pin that holds it all together. The welding must be done with the shifter dis-assembled...not a difficult job. I think they shift nicer if the new rod is made longer by a couple inches. George Willer
