You probably have a cut out, take the lid off, if
it has one coil it is a cut out. The fuse and
resistors are on the back of the light switch.
There are 2 resistors, one to limit the charge of
the generator and one for running with dim lights.
I have a breakdown of what happens in each
position of the light switch if it would be a help.
