The H and M have dry sleeves. A C123 has wet sleeves with an O ring at the bottom. I try to get the O ring groove as clean as I can and then use black rtv silicon on the O ring. First put some in the groove, then install the O ring and smear some more in the space around the O ring. You are supposed to be able to just use some lube on them, but the grooves are usually so pitted with rust I think the O ring needs a little help to seal. I also like to run a little bit of blue loctite around the counterbore at the top before putting the sleeve in to be sure it seals there. This may seem like overkill, but I would rather be cautious than have a leak and start over. I've done 4 or 5 f-12 (c-113) engines this way and haven't had any leaks. Good luck, Ed
