Your C likely originally had a C-113 engine. Someone may have rebuilt it using oversize sleeves, so just measuring the bore does not tell you if it was originally C-123. Also someone could have replaced the complete block. If it was originally a C-123, The C-123 is cast into the block, but I'm not sure where that is located. The C-113 did not have a designation on the block. You can also look for the casting date in the block. It it is of the form ##-##-T, or ##-##-50, then it is likely the original block. As others said, the block casting number is located behind the oil filter.
