The "early" 400 that my dad bought new did not have a dipstick. On the other hand, a neighbor is restorinng a super H & while it has petcocks, the block has a "bump" where the dipstick was on later tractors. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the 300's where the 1st with dipstick (standard that is).
