Sly,
With the tractor running, remove the radiator cap and check for bubbles in the coolant. This will indicate a leak between combustion pressure areas and the water jacket. Could be a cracked head, a bad head gasket, cracked sleeve or something worse. The only way to tell for sure is to have the head "Magnafluxed" by a shop. This will tell you for sure if the head is bad. Even the tiniest crack will show up in the Magnaflux process. Good luck,
