We pulled our stock 46 M for the first time last year and cranked it up to 2500rpm but found it was too high, would spin out everytime too soon. pulled better at 2000rpm in second gear, would spinout everytime but it seemed to lug better and hold the rpm better as the weight moved up on the sled and not spinout as fast so too high rpm is not a great help but higher rpm seems to help th H.P.. the M is rated max 1595 but never seemed to hurt the engine any turned up but we took it easy off the line and then throttled up so with the weight of the sled and as the weight moved up it probably never stayed at 2500 for too long. I would think with the H you should be able to turn it up and not hurt anything if you are carefull and not to run it wideopen with no load. A site that I asked a few questions and they are very knowlageable and helpfull could tell you for sure and I visit often just to read the posts and try to learn something new is the tractor pulling fourm at http://www.AntiqueTractorPulling.com Terry
