Randy,
Check the color of the spark. If it's blue to white, it's a strong spark. If it's yellow to orange, it's weak and the points/condenser or coil are probably at fault. Replace the condenser anyway. They're cheap and easy to swap, and if it starts, hey, you're a genius! Remember, these tractors are simple, so use the KISS principle. Phil
