H carb main jet needle packing nut

rebuilt my carb, engine runs like a sewing machine, but by accident crushed the graphite packing nut for the main jet needle. I've used some graphite string around the needle and seated down hard under the outer nut and this is a decent substitute, but the carb still drips, so I need to go back to the packing nut. Anybody know how to get one - I don't want to buy another kit just for the nut. Or, any ideas on another way to do it. I thought about a neoprine faucet washer, but I don't know if the gasoline will dissolve it. Thanks, RK Smith
